Burlington Indoor Junior Golf Fitness and Athletic Therapy
fitness, nutrition, personal training for junior golfers Golf fitness designed for junior golfers

If you are like most junior golfers, your goals may include playing and winning in local tournaments, MJT, CJGA, IJGT, or other junior tour events, getting a college scholarship, and may even dream of one day playing on the professional tours.

While most junior golfers are aware of the benefits of a strength and conditioning program as a compliment to their golf game, there are still many who are unsure of the direct benefits to their game. In order to play to your peak potential in todays ultra-competive junior golf scene, you NEED to seriously address EVERY aspect of your golf training.

Proper Fitness and Nutrition is fast becoming the new way to gain that edge on your fellow junior golfers. The one problem in today's fitness industry is that everyone is selling the quick fixes and online systems with the guarantee it will make you hit the ball further and straighter then your fellow competitors.

At The Golfers Academy we understand that your child is not a clone and that each body is NOT created equal, so my question to you as a parent is why even consider online quick fixes when they are not specifically designed for your child and could be extremely dangerous if not done correctly, greatly increasing the risk of injury and possible end to their golfing career.

Working with our highly trained fitness professionals your junior golfer gets the best instruction, on fitness, nutrition and physcology as well their program is designed specifically for them after an extensive fitness assessment.

While most junior golfers are aware of the benefits of a strength and conditioning program as a compliment to their golf game, there are still many who are unsure of the direct benefits to their game. According to a study published in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning, here are some reasons why it might make sense.

1. Clubhead speed was increased by 7 to 10% or the equivalent of 10 to 15 yds. with no negative effects on accuracy.

2. Strength training was shown to improve muscular strength and local muscular endurance which has a positive impact on golf swing consistency during an 8-hour, 36-hole round of competitive golf

3. Strength and flexibility programs demonstrated better putting distance control performance among elite level collegiate golfers.

4. An increase in strength and flexibility allowed competitive golfers to adopt more optimal swing mechanics.

The main objective with golf nutrition is to feel a balanced and consistent level of energy while maximizing mental acuity. Unfortunately, poor food choices are at the heart of both of these issues.

At The Golfers Academy we will guide your junior golfer to make better and healthier choices when it comes to nutrition on and off the course greatly increasing that they will have enough energy for a full round of competitive golf.
